Looking Forward to Lavenham

So, it's just over a week to my first fair of 2014 in Lavenham, Suffolk, on 16th March, and I'm really looking forward to it!  I have some fresh ideas for the stall layout this year, and we've come up with a new way of displaying our wares. A couple of you have said that you'll come along, which is fantastic: it'll be so lovely to see some familiar faces!

I ordered a lovely new book of knitting patterns from Amazon last week and not only have I finished that sweater, but I've almost completed a cosy little sleeveless romper too. I'm going to have to wait nearly until the fair to complete it however, as I went to visit family last weekend and left the pattern behind!  No matter, I can get those berets done that I've been threatening you with, in the meantime.

I absolutely fell in love with this book when it arrived, all the patterns in it are so very cute - but the majority are in yarn weights that I have rarely used before. So I also had to go out and buy another storage box full of wool. At least I've got enough now to keep me occupied for some time...

I also have three more craft fairs confirmed since I last blogged: Nov 8th in Dunmow, Essex; Nov 30th in Maldon, Essex; and, Dec 6th in Canvey Island, Essex. All details on the events page.
